Prayer Update - October 13, 2009

Featured Church/Mission: Hope Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Pastor Chris Robinson)
1. That the Hope congregation would confidently and reverently approach God in worship, and would eagerly anticipate God causing His sheep in Portsmouth to come when they hear His voice through us.
2. That the Lord would keep us faithfully and diligently serving as those who are sent by Christ to shine His light in the darkness of this city.
3. That the Lord would use our present circumstances to draw us to Him for help rather than away from Him in distraction.
4. That the Lord would increase our faith that He is building His Church despite the contrary visible appearance.
5. That He would give us a hearty delight in hearing His Word and keeping His commandments.

Featured Potential Church Planting Site: seacoast of southern Maine
1. Pray for the people of Saco, Biddeford, and Old Orchard Beach, located south of Portland on the Atlantic coast.
2. Pray for the reformation of the church in this region and for the raising up of those who would be involved in planting a PCA church in these communities.

Featured Potential College Ministry Site: University of Southern Maine, Portland, Maine (main campus)1. Pray for the students, faculty, and staff of University of Southern Maine, part of Maine public university system.
2. Pray for the involvement of members of Christ the Redeemer Presbyterian (PCA) on campus and for the work of Campus Crusade for Christ and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.

MNA Committee work:
1. Pray for the committee’s next meeting on November 12. Pray especially for God’s direction in connecting ministry candidates to potential opportunities for service in the region.
2. Pray for James Cochell, a recent graduate of Gordon-Conwell (NC campus), and family as they seek the Lord’s guidance and provision regarding relocating to Nashua, NH, to work with Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA).

Northern New England Presbytery:
Pray for God’s blessing upon the upcoming meeting of the presbytery (10/17) and for the Holy Spirit’s continued work throughout the states of Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire.
