Prayer Update - August 19, 2009

Featured Church/Mission: Christ the Redeemer Presbyterian, Portland, ME (Pastor Doug Warren)
1. Praise God for a great turn out to this year’s Adventure camp with 52 area youth (three-years-old to fifth grade) and the team from Clemson who helped.
2. Praise God for His work in several individual’s and families’ lives.
3. Pray for guidance regarding our current and future facility needs (i.e. Ministry Center and 24/7 space).
4. Ask Him to bless our relationship with the OPC church and specifically for their on-going pastoral search.
5. Ask Him to give our deacons wisdom as we work on identifying and equipping some folks from the congregation to assist them.
6. Ask Him to bless our efforts as a community of faith in demonstrating Christ’s grace to neighbors, co-workers, and friends.

Featured Potential Church Planting Site: South-central New Hampshire
1. Pray for the spiritual and economic prosperity of the people of Salem, Derry, and Londonderry, New Hampshire.
2. Pray for the progress of the church in south-central New Hampshire.

Featured Potential College Ministry Site: University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire
1. Pray for the students, faculty, and staff of the University of New Hampshire as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
2. Pray for the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship group at UNH and the new reformed students group connected to Pilgrim Presbyterian (OPC) in Dover, NH.

MNA Committee work:
Pray for the committee’s upcoming meeting September 10. Pray for the identification of solid ministry opportunities and ministry candidates through the work of the committee.

Prayer Update - August 5, 2009

Featured Church/Mission: Church of the Redeemer, Manchester, NH (Pastor Jon Taylor)
1. We praise God for his provision of a 24/7 facility in the heart of the city for office, worship and ministry!
2. Please pray for our Kids’ Club being held in Sheridan-Emmett Park August 10-14 (weather, safety, receptiveness to the Gospel).
3. Please pray for a Pioneer Clubs Ministry we are planning in the fall to reach the families of our neighborhood.
4. Pray for the development of an ESL (English as a Second Language) ministry we’re hoping to launch in January.
5. Pray for the last stages of elder training/examination and particularization, which we hope to complete by the end of 2009.
6. We praise God for several unchurched people who are attending and/or exploring the faith through CTR members.

Featured Potential Church Planting Site: Brunswick, Maine
1. Pray for the spiritual and economic prosperity of the people of Brunswick.
2. Pray for the existing evangelical churches in Brunswick, including Merrymeeting Bay OPC, currently meeting there.
3. Pray for the expansion of the Kingdom in central Maine.

Featured Potential College Ministry Site: Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine
1. Pray for the students, faculty, and staff of Bowdoin College as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
2. Pray for the establishment of strong college ministries on a campus without a RUF, Intervarsity, or Campus Crusade presence.

Pray for the committee’s upcoming meeting August 13 and for the further development of existing ministry contacts.
