Prayer Update - November 10, 2009

Featured Church/Mission: Christ Presbyterian Church, Nashua, New Hampshire (Pastor Jason Wakefield)
1. Pray for the progress of CPC as a particular church again and especially for new RE Matt Oquist.
2. Pray for the funding of the ministry in the midst of a shortfall in outside support.
3. Pray for us as we look for a new facility to further our ministry.
4. Pray for new people to come and join the congregation.

Featured Potential Church Planting Site: Burlington, Vermont
1. Pray for the people of Burlington, the largest city in the state.
2. Pray for the evangelical churches of Burlington and South Burlington and for their witness among the people of their area.

Featured Potential College Ministry Site: University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont
1. Pray for the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Vermont.
2. Pray for the work of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and Campus Crusade for Christ on the campus of UVM.

MNA Committee work:
1. Pray for the committee’s next meeting on November 12. Pray especially for God’s direction in connecting ministry candidates to potential opportunities for service in the region and for our discussion with David Green of RUF on the prospects for campus ministry in northern New England.
2. Pray for James Cochell, a recent graduate of Gordon-Conwell (NC campus), and family as they seek the Lord’s guidance and provision regarding relocating to Nashua, NH, to work with Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA).
3. Pray for Mike Viera, a seminary student and candidate under care in NNEP, in the middle of six weeks of training in preparation for a one-year deployment to Afghanistan as a member of the Army reserves. Pray for his wife Andrea and children as they transition back into Army life for this period.

Northern New England Presbytery:
Pray for four members of our presbytery, Per Almquist, Ken Morris, Dan Filicicchia and Jon Taylor, who are in the middle of a short-term missions trip to New Orleans (11/7-11/14) to aid in the reconstruction from Hurricane Katrina. They are working with Redeemer PCA in New Orleans to serve those affected.
