Burlington: Continue to pray for the committee’s work toward preparing for a joint church planting/RUF work in Burlington, VT. Pray in particular for:
1. The visit of the lead candidate for the church planting position to Burlington tomorrow (5/6) and Friday (5/7). Pray for him and his wife as they consider God’s call upon them and for those who will be joining them for the visit.
2. Pray for wisdom in moving ahead in the search for a RUF candidate as the lead candidate appears likely to take another call.
3. Pray for progress in sharing the vision with possible prayer and financial partners and for wisdom in how to move ahead in these areas.

Featured Church/Mission: Grace Presbyterian Church, Laconia, New Hampshire (Pastor Andy Wilson)
1. Election of New Officers: Pray for the men who have been nominated to the offices of ruling elder and deacon as they complete their training and are examined by the Session. Pray for the Session and congregation as we move forward in the election process.
2. Covenant Children: Pray for the children who are going through the communicants class, that they would all make a mature and credible profession of a living faith in Christ.
3. Potential Members: Pray for several individuals who have recently started attending worship with us as they are invited to participate in an "Introduction to the Church" class.

1. Pray for the people of the thirteen towns that make up the lakes region of central Maine, including Casco, Bridgton, Naples, and Raymond. Pray for good economic opportunities for the many involved in tourism-based industries.

1. Pray for the progress of the church as a particular church again and especially for new RE Matt Oquist.
2. Pray for the funding of the ministry in the midst of a shortfall in outside support.
3. Pray for us as we look for a new facility. We need to find a place that will further our ministry.
4. Pray for new people to come and join the congregation.
5. Pray that we would continue to develop a global and local missions emphasis.

2. Pray for a strong evangelical witness among the existing churches in Augusta and the surrounding towns.

1. Thanks to the Lord for sending to us a real, live, pianist.
2. That the Lord would provide relief to a family facing severe business debt.
3. That He would use us as a congregation for this provision… following the early church model.
4. That He would change us to more willingly and actively invite others to worship.
5. That He would make us more willing to embrace the world’s uncertainty as His means leading us to certainty in Christ.

Prayer Update - February 24, 2010

Featured Church/Mission: Free Grace Presbyterian Mission, Lewiston, ME (Pastor Per Almquist)
1. Give thanks to God that our community bowling night went well. A number of families came that had no connection to Free Grace. Pray that God would be at work in these relationships.
2. Pray for God to work in the other activities of the church in the community. Ask that he would work through the new men's group that is starting and the family movie time with the public library to make the community aware of Free Grace and bring others to the church to hear the gospel of Christ.
3. Pray that God would continue to bring people to Jordan's Bridge (our Christian counseling center) seeking the healing of the gospel. Pray for wisdom and grace for Ken Morris, our director of counseling, as he counsels. Pray for those who come that they would find healing in the Christ and give him the glory. Praise God for providing an office in Portland allowing Ken to see clients there as well.
4. Ask God to grant us peace and trust in him as we take the leap of faith as we move towards worshipping weekly. Pray for God's provision of a facility and the resources to set up as a tool for the church's work in worshipping God and reaching our community.

Prayer Update - February 10, 2010

Featured Church/Mission: Exeter Presbyterian Church, Exeter, NH (Pastor Steve Magee)
1. Please pray that God would help us to see how He would have us experience fruitfulness and unity in service as a congregation.
2. Ask the Lord to aid the elders as we work together on a statement of who we are as a church.
3. May God grant us joy in pursuing a peaceful and quiet life in the midst of the lovely communities where we live.
4. Petition God to bring renewal and restoration to those in our communities who are suffering from loss. The Lord seems to be opening up many doors for us to speak to those who are grieving.
Featured Potential Church Planting Site: Littleton, New Hampshire
1. Pray for the spiritual and material prosperity of the people of Littleton, NH.
2. Pray for the progress of the church in the northern portion of New Hampshire and for wisdom in the development of plans for planting churches in the rural regions of the state.
Featured Potential College Ministry Site: Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont
1. Pray for the students, faculty, and staff of Middlebury College.
2. Pray for God to bless the several campus ministries at Middlebury, including Campus Crusade for Christ and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
MNA Committee work:
1. Burlington: Pray for progress in the committee’s labors toward a joint church planting/RUF work in Burlington, Vermont. Pray particularly for:
a. the provision of the right men for the two lead positions in this work. Pray for the committee as it continues to interview candidates.
b. efforts at generating prayer/financial support for the work that are underway, beginning with the families and churches of our presbytery.
